Athens Area Diaper Bank Campaign Project


During my Campaigns course, I had the opportunity of working on a team and functioning as an agency for a local non-profit, Athens Area Diaper Bank. I had the role of Content Producer, responsible for planning and creating written and visual content. This includes photography, videography and editing that aligns with the client’s brand.
We understood that the AADB's needs were increasing their number of partnerships, having a lack of time for marketing efforts, and wanting a consistent social media strategy.
Along with my team, I captured over 276 photos and 34 videos. I also created tools for partners to have access to such as post templates to promote AADB on social media and posting guidelines and remain consist with the branding. For AADB events, I created a post-event feedback survey for event attendees to complete in order for the improvement of AADB events. I also made a post-event evaluation form to track tasks completed before, during, and after AADB events. We created a blank template for the event facilitator to complete so that in the future, anyone can look back and see who was involved, what promotional items were distributed, and the overall event turnout.
CSR Proposal- Avid Bookshop
For my PR Ethics and Culture course, I created a CSR proposal for a local bookstore, Avid Bookshop. We conducted thorough research and found that about 45.5% of Athens-Clarke County third graders are reading below their grade level. We created a campaign with the goal of establishing Avid Bookshop as a leader in advancing childhood literacy in Athens-Clarke County.
Quantitative Research Report- Lululemon
For my Insights and Data Analytics course, I worked on a team of seven to complete a research report for the company of our choice- Lululemon. This study aims to examine the relationships between Lululemon and its college-aged consumers in terms of their perceptions, purchase intentions, and loyalty towards the brand. I learned how to conduct research, create/ design a survey using Qualtrics, and run tests to determine key findings.
Strategic Plan- Athens Bagel Co.
For my Public Relations Communication course, I worked on a team of five to complete a strategic plan for a local business, Athens Bagel Company with the goal of positioning Athens Bagel Company as the top bagel shop choice for locals and UGA students seeking a memorable bagel experience in Athens. I learned the importance of research and collaboration when creating an effective plan.
PR Plan Portfolio
For my Public Relations Communication course, I created a portfolio for my final project which was a PR plan for a local business, M3 yoga and Hot Pilates. We worked with a team to begin the research, but completed the deliverables individually. I learned how to write a press release, create a media list, and engage with the target audience on social media.
Ad Re-design
For my graphic communications course, we did an ad re-design project where I was able to use my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop to create a more captivating ad for the web. I used techniques such as contrast and alignment to create harmony in the design. When choosing my image, I knew I wanted the focal point to be the coffee, and the darker background made the coffee stand out more.

Why I wrote the story
For my reporting course, I wrote an event preview story for an upcoming lecture at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia I later attended. I researched the history of the events they hosted as well as the guest speaker.
Sustainibility Beat Q & A
Students fight food insecurity in Athens by distributing underutilized produce
Why I wrote the story
I conducted an interview that featured an intern at Concrete Jungle to learn more about sustainable efforts in the Athens area. I prepared 6 questions ahead of time and later chose which ones I thought stood out the best. This was my first interview and I learned how to manage time and take notes.

Mayor Girtz anticipates economic impact of new Classic Center Arena to generate $33 million a year after 5 years of construction
Why I wrote the story
I wrote this news conference story to highlight the economic impact of the building of The Classic Center Arena in Athens and I learned the importance of conducting research ahead of time. The story is newsworthy as it features a project that is in progress and impacts the local community.
Promotional Video for Non-profit
I had the opportunity to film and edit a video for Oasis Tutoring my last semester working there as an administrative assistant. The video was shown at the yearly gathering for the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to promote the tutoring program.
Design for Social Platforms
For my social media and content creation course, we designed posts for an event that we would like to promote. I used Canva to create my designs for the Suwanee Wine Festival. I considered hierarchy, central focus and color when making the 2 story posts and main post.
Creative Basics Project
For my advertising course, my group and I had to create various types of ads for a company that currently exists. We created an advertising objective that we wished to achieve through our numerous ad types including a story, montage, pitch and immersive installation. I primarily worked on the story and made it relatable to young people who are starting out their independent lives and find enjoyment in their lives again despite any obstacles.
